How to build a bundle

To build a bundle you work through one page that asks for everything a new site needs and prices it as you go. You choose a domain, the mailboxes you want, and then hosting or a website, and you review the whole thing before paying once.

The point is the order rather than the shopping. Choosing a website package takes ten percent off your domain and ten percent off every mailbox, every month, and that discount is real only if the choices are made together. Picking a domain on one page and a website on another loses it.

How to build a bundle, step by step

A step bar sits above the form showing where you are. It reads Domain, Mailboxes, Hosting or website, and Review, and Continue moves you forward. Back appears once there is somewhere to go back to, and nothing is ordered until the last step.

Step one, the domain

This behaves like any domain search. Type the name you want and the page tells you whether it is available and what it costs, and you can search again without losing the rest of your answers.

If you already own the domain, that is a supported answer rather than an obstacle. You connect the one you have instead of registering a new one, which is the same choice the wizard offers in plain language on the step.

Step two, the mailboxes

You set how many mailboxes you want and which size. The quantity control steps up and down rather than asking you to type a number, and there is a limit per order, so a mailbox-heavy bundle is fine and a mistyped 250 is not possible.

Each size carries its own stepper, so a bundle can hold a couple of large mailboxes and a few small ones rather than forcing one size across all of them.

Step three, hosting or a website

The first question is what you actually need, and the answer decides what you are asked next. This step used to ask about hosting before you had said whether you wanted a website, which is the wrong order, because hosting exists to serve the site.

Just hosting is for a site you already have or are building yourself. You then choose a hosting package, and the ones shown as free are genuinely free as part of the bundle rather than a trial.

A website too means our own designers build it. You pick a website package from the tiers, each of which states how many pages it covers and what is included beyond the pages. The free hosting that comes with the hosting answer is included here as well.

No hosting is the third answer, and it is a real one. Mailboxes only. Everything still works and there is nothing to put online, so the hosting question is not asked at all.

If you need more pages than a package covers, ask us rather than assuming. The page says so directly, and the difference is priced rather than turned into a surprise later.

Step four, review

The last step draws the whole bundle into one summary with the total, so you see what each part costs and what the discounts took off before you commit. Nothing has been ordered up to this point and no payment has been taken.

It also states what happens after you order, which is worth reading once. The domain is registered or connected, the mailboxes are created and their setup details are sent for your devices, and if you chose a website then one of our designers contacts you within one working day to agree the scope, the content and the timeline before any work starts.

That last sentence is the important one for a website package. Paying does not start the build, agreeing the scope does.

One order, one invoice

A bundle is a single order rather than several. You get one invoice and one team to talk to for all of it, which is the difference between a bundle and three separate purchases that happen to arrive together.

An ongoing maintenance plan for the website is a separate decision and is not part of the wizard. You can add one after launch, or simply ask us for work as you need it.

What happens if you would rather not use the wizard

You can buy the parts separately. A domain, a mailbox and a hosting plan each have their own page, every one of them works on its own, and our product guides cover each in its own place.

What you lose is the discount, because the website packages take their percentage off the domain and the mailboxes only when the choices are made in one order. If you already know what you want and the bundle is close, it is worth one more pass through the wizard to check.
