Five regions, one answer
Every check can run from Cape Town, Frankfurt, St Louis, Singapore or Sydney. Those are our hosting cities, not rented probe locations, so the numbers describe the path your site would really take.
The same checks our own engineers run, from the same five regions that serve our hosting. No account, no email, no upsell at the end.

Why they exist
Every check can run from Cape Town, Frankfurt, St Louis, Singapore or Sydney. Those are our hosting cities, not rented probe locations, so the numbers describe the path your site would really take.
No account, no email, no captcha wall and no report emailed to you afterwards. Run the test, read the answer, close the tab. The tool is the offer.
How to use them together
Start with a ping from the region your visitors use. If the average is close to the speed of light for that distance, the network is not your problem.
Loss and jitter mean a fault rather than distance. A traceroute from the same region shows which hop it starts at, and whose network that hop belongs to.
Then the delay is the server itself. A server check shows the response time, the certificate and whether the site answers at all before you go looking at code.
